Your Responsabilities ✏️ 

Rocket.Chat is looking for a strategic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead digital, field, ABM, outbound, and partner marketing initiatives focused on the public sector, specifically targeting federal and defence agencies in the United States. This role is essential to driving awareness, demand, and growth through integrated marketing campaigns, events, and close collaboration with our sales team, key partners and federal systems integrators (FSIs). The ideal candidate will have deep experience in public sector marketing, with a strong focus on partner/channel engagement and building go-to-market strategies tailored to the federal and DoD markets.

Mandatory Hard Skills 🎯

  • 4+ years of experience in B2G (business-to-government) SaaS marketing, with a strong focus on the federal and defence sectors;
  • Proven expertise in partner and channel marketing, including working with federal system integrators and technology alliances;
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, government compliance requirements, and the priorities of public sector customers;
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Apollo), CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, ZOHO), and analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics);
  • Proven portfolio of successful marketing initiatives and campaigns in the public sector; 
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on crafting compelling, mission-aligned messaging;
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.

  • Experience marketing secure communications or technology solutions to federal and defence agencies;
  • Familiarity with government contracting vehicles and GSA schedules;
  • Established relationships within the federal contractor and partner ecosystem.

What You'll Do 🖥️

Digital Marketing:

  • Work closely with the sales team to identify focus areas and support their outbound effort;
  • Create and execute an ABM strategy targeting accounts that fall within our Ideal Customer Profile;
  • Develop and execute targeted digital marketing campaigns to drive lead generation and engagement within the federal and defence sectors;
  • Manage and optimise digital marketing channels, including email, social media, paid advertising, and content marketing for the NORAM region; 
  • Analyze campaign performance using data-driven insights, focusing on KPIs such as ROI, lead conversions, and audience engagement;

Field Marketing:

  • Plan and execute federal-focused events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and roadshows;
  • Work with sales and partners to organize in-person and virtual engagements with government stakeholders, including briefings and demos;
  • Create event strategies that maximize participation, engagement, and lead conversion, from pre-event promotion to post-event follow-up.

Partner and Channel Marketing:

  • Collaborate closely with Rocket.Chat’s key partners in the NORAM region, including federal system integrators, resellers, and technology alliances, to develop joint marketing strategies;
  • Design and execute co-marketing campaigns and initiatives to support partner-driven opportunities and expand Rocket.Chat’s presence in the federal market;
  • Assist in creating partner enablement materials, such as collateral, training resources, and sales tools, to ensure alignment with Rocket.Chat’s value proposition;
  • Serve as a liaison between Rocket.Chat and partners to ensure marketing efforts align with joint business goals.

Manage Market Development Funds (MDF)

  • Oversee the allocation and utilization of MDF to maximize investment efficiency and align with strategic marketing objectives;
  • Track, measure, and report the ROI of fund investments to assess their impact and inform future decision-making;

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Partner with internal teams, including sales, product, and government affairs, to align marketing initiatives with broader business goals;
  • Manage external vendors, including design agencies, event organizers, and PR firms, to execute high-impact campaigns and events;

Public Sector Initiatives:

  • Develop marketing strategies tailored to the unique needs and challenges of federal and defense audiences, highlighting Rocket.Chat’s compliance with government security standards;
  • Stay informed on public sector market trends, procurement cycles, and competitive dynamics to refine marketing initiatives;
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to align marketing campaigns with key account and opportunity objectives.
